I love my dad to death, don’t get me wrong. But ever since his accident 11 years ago, talking to the man is an exercise in futility. His short term memory is shot, so I have to tell him something 20 times or more. I can tell him something one day and the next day he’ll ask me again. And he’ll ask me the same question every day for weeks sometimes. He just can not process information like that anymore. I try not to get mad at him, but some times it can be near impossible.
( Insanity abounds under the cut )
Okay, usually I don’t do this but I just have to. I don’t like conflict and I try and avoid it when I can but I just can’t sit back anymore.
There may be spoilery info under the cut, be warned now!
Hi everyone.
I don't know if anyone else has noticed that our wonderful
She wants everyone to know that he is fine and will hopefully be returning soon. She is planning on leaving a post on their journal soon to let everyone know what’s going on.
I for one can’t wait for him to return, I’ve missed him.
List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now, shaping your spring. Post these instructions in your LJ along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they're listening.
1. Saving Me – Nickleback (For some reason, I just can’t get enough of this song and I have it looped.)
2. Rockstar – Nickleback
3. Photograph – Nickleback (I’m starting to see a pattern here…*grin*)
4. Girlfriend – Avril Lavigne (What can I say? *shrugs*)
5. Apologize – Timbaland and OneRepublic
6. I Write Sins Not Tragedies – Panic! At the Disco
7. Black Horse & The Cherry Tree – KT Tunstall
I have a playlist that I listen to while I write that, for now, has 78 songs on it. Which will be increasing soon as I haven’t gone thru all my music yet. It was hard to pick just 7 that I listen to the most, but these are the top 7 for now. *grin*
Ok, I have to be the clutziest person on the face of the earth. *sigh*
Last night, I was walking back from the kitchen to sit at the computer. I stepped and suddenly found myself slipping on...nothing! That's right, nothing. I went down like a ton of bricks. Bad enough I embarrased myself, but I hit the floor so hard, I woke up my oldest son! So of course, he comes running out, scared as hell, wondering what I had done this time! (He knows me enough to know I hurt myself, somehow! lol)
Anyways, turns out I hit my ribs and arm on the wooden part of the arm of the chair. No biggie, sore but not hurt. But then I saw my leg. Sheesh. I now have a bruise on the inside of my calf right where the knee bends a little bit smaller in size than a saucer-plate. No way of sleeping good with a bruise there, or being comfy sitting in chairs. I think I either hit it on the couch or ottoman (small living room, not a lot of space) Oh well, at least it'll be gone in a week or 2 (or 3 or 4...lol).
My kids were laughing at me this morning, not believing I slipped on air. Though I still think there was water or a piece of plastic that Karma must've been playing with. Dumb cat, that's what I get for having a black cat in my house.
So, I've been icing it and taking a few ibuprofen. It's not so sore today, but it'll be fun getting around for while. Now, if I can just keep from killing myself...
